From savannahs to woodlands, and wetlands to rivers, Sango’s ecosystems are highly diverse. Monitoring is the first step toward protection, and several processes are in place to maintain a strong understanding of their health. Looking ahead, enhancing connectivity and safeguarding the site’s historical rock paintings could further increase Sango’s ecological and cultural value.
