Sango’s restoration of ~60,000 hectares has enabled the sequestration of 8,495,054 tons of CO₂. Moving forward, the conservancy aims to maintain and monitor this carbon stock while expanding its boundaries to increase storage capacity.
At Sango, the restoration of ~60,000 hectares of wild ecosystems has not only enhanced carbon sequestration but has also safeguarded a significant carbon stock for nearly 30 years. In line with our commitment to long term sustainability, we’ve also conducted a carbon footprint assessment of our operations to identify key areas for action.
Looking ahead, our ambition is not only to maintain the existing carbon stock, but also to expand it by acquiring additional land and extending the boundaries of the conservancy.
